Do you do alterations?

We recommend several accomplished seamstresses to do the work needed to make your dress fit like a glove.  To see the list of seamstresses, click here.

Who do you recommend for cleaning?

In the Toronto area, we recommend Grace Wedding Gown Specialists as describe on our referrals page.  If you are outside Toronto, make sure that the cleaner you use is a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists or make the trip to see Grace.

Do you rent or buy wedding dresses?  Can I trade in my dress at your store?

No.  We sell donated dresses, we do not rent, buy or consign.

Do you carry or can I donate Mother of the Bride or bridesmaid dresses?

No, we only carry bridal gowns and accessories.

What’s the price range?

Our dresses range in price from $100 to $2000.  Generally speaking, dresses are priced at approximately 1/2 or less of the original retail price and cap our prices at $2000.  The average cost of a full-length bridal gown is about $550-600.

What sizes do you carry?

We have dresses in waist sizes 22 to 50 inches (bridal sizes 00 to 30).  Our selection varies by size, and we have more in sizes 26″-32″ simply because some of our donations come from salons – and those are the most common sample sizes.  The majority of our dresses come from real brides, who vary right across the spectrum in terms of size.

You can shop our Shopify catalogue by size… click on “Shop by Size” at the top and you will see a drop down menu including the wide variety of sizes available.

I want to look at accessories!

We also carry sparkly belts, some shoes, boleros, jewelry and other bits ‘n’ pieces.  Some of these items are shown on our Shopify site under “Shop non-dress items”.  You will need an appointment to shop in person for accessories .

Are you wheelchair accessible/accessible to people with disabilities?

Yes, our new location at Rogers Rd. is wheelchair accessible for entry. However, all rest rooms are in the downstairs area.

Space is always a concern given the volume of space that dresses require, so we ask that you do your best NOT to bring in baby strollers because it blocks those narrow spaces and is a safety concern.  However, walkers and other mobility devices are of course welcome.

Where are we?

82 Rogers Rd. Toronto ON M6E 1P3

Phone: (416) 469-6777

Email: info@thebridesproject.com

Please use email to contact us outside shop hours. There is no one to answer the phone when the shop is closed, but volunteers check email regularly off-site.

Any Parking?

We do not have our own parking here. There is plenty street parking available in the neighbourhood, and a very inexpensive Green P just north of us off Dufferin. Please do not park in the church parking lot or our neighbour’s driveway!

What should I bring?

  • Please read COVID-19 policy before your appointment
  • Indoor non-slip CLEAN shoes like runners, Crocs, etc. We’re also happy to lend our sanitized Crocs, and have disposable sockettes available as well.
  • Undergarments… our staff and your guests will be in your change room with you at all times.  Wear a bra and tights/pantyhose to easily slip in and out of dresses.
  • No makeup please. That ruins more dresses that you can imagine!  It’s easier to set a preschool room loose with finger paint and remove that.
  • NO food or beverages.  Leave your coffee outside please!
  • Please restrict your entourage to two guests, no exceptions.
